warm sun

It has been a cold winter.  Like I have mentioned before, I am not a cold weather kind of gal.

It has been such a blessing to open wide the curtains in our den and soak up as much warm sun as we can get.  This has pretty much been a crucial part of our daily Winter routine.

Come on Spring.

rain boots

Baby girl loves shoes.  Nola especially loves boots.

I found a pair of gender neutral rain boots we can pass down to brother several weeks ago.  NGR is obsessed.  I promise you she wanted to wear them non-stop for at least three days.

Love her.

baskets

We've got full baskets and full hearts around here.  Charlie and I used to put Nola in these same baskets with her toys as a babe.  Baby girl absolutely loved it.

Since baby boy is a lot more mobile than his sister at this age, Jack didn't really get what all the fuss was about.  He prefers to be on the ground where he can roam free.

We love this handsome, big and busy baby boy the Lord has gifted to Charlie and I.

swingin'

Nola Grace LOVES swingin' with her daddy.  I have to admit myself.  I kind of love watching them swing.

These Loves of mine melt my heart.  The daddy/daughter thing is quite special, and I am so thankful that I get to experience it in this season of life.

Love them dearly.

hot cocoa & fresh cookies

Hot cocoa and fresh cookies are a must in this kind of weather

Just don't make your toddler wait to eat that cookie so you can take a picture or this face will happen

Don't worry...  I learned my lesson very quickly

Chocolate covered faces make better pictures anyways

snow days

In early February, we had our first few snow days of this winter.  Sure it "snowed" in November, but it didn't stick and we couldn't play in it so that doesn't really count.

Nola was so very excited to wake up from her nap to a winter wonderland outside.

Personally, I like to enjoy snow from the warmth of my home.  Baby girl, on the other hand, could not get enough of it.  Nola Grace played and played and played until we made her come in to thaw out.  Every single time.  It was super fun to see her enjoy it so much.

This year Jack enjoyed the snow from the window.  Watching sister's every move and cheering her along.

together

Our littles are playing together more and more every day.  It is such a joy to see their bond and friendship grow day by day as siblings.

The other day, Nola went up to Jack and gave him a big hug.  She looked at me and said, "that's my little buddy."

It melted my heart a little.  And by a little, I mean a lot.  A whole lot.
